
Lois Barkley Miller, 91, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025.
Lois was born on December 12, 1934, to Irvin Tennette Barkley and Betty Lou Bass Barkley. She graduated from Troutman High School and worked in customer service before retiring. She was a member of Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church where she was the church organist.
Lois loved to sew and decorate cakes. She enjoyed working outside in her flower garden and koi pond.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Curtis Miller; grandchildren, Jeannie Miller and J.C. Miller; and great-grandson; Jaxon Brown.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Troutman with Rev. Lawrence Owenby officiating. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at Troutman Funeral Home.

I have so many good memories of Lois. She was a smart lady and loved to talk about God’s word. She had a good heart and treated people with kindness. I have known her since I was a child, and she made an influence in my life by talking about God’s word. She will be missed by so many.
