Lois Loraine Elsaesser Massey, 77, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville. Born February 16, 1948, in Farmville, Va/, she was a daughter of the late Harris Herbert Elsaesser and Maxine Dickerson Elsaesser.

Mrs. Massey was a retired CNA at Huntersville Oaks, where she worked for over 30 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Massey loved her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, coloring, cross stitch and spending time outdoors.

Mrs. Massey was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lester Massey Jr. She is survived by her sons, Edward “Eddie” Massey III and Jonathan David Massey; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, with a service following at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Chaplain Russell Files officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Iredell Memorial Park in Statesville.
