Mark Hampton Broome, 66, of Taylorsville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at his home. She was born on November 10, 1959, in Lincoln County, N.C., the son of the late Ted Broom and Judy Lovelace Broome.

Mark proudly served in the United States Army. He was of Christian faith and enjoyed watching NASCAR.

Those left to honor and cherish his memories include his wife, Judy Houston Broome; his daughter, Rebecca Broom; his step-daughter, Betty Eppley (Anthony); his son, Chuck Broome; his step-sons, Sam Heckman and Jimmy Heckman (Dana); one grandchild; seven step-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; his sisters, Kim Scott, Katrina Roberts; and his brothers, Todd Broome (B.B.), and Thad Broome.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
