Michael Todd Willis, 61, went to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, August 24, 2025. He was born on August 26, 1963, to Gene Willis and Brenda Wilson Cross in Mooresville, N.C.

Todd, as he was known, was a light to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on earth was marked by love, empathy and dedication. He enjoyed being on the lake, loving on his dogs, and spending time with his family. His loving energy and charismatic personality were felt by all who knew him.

Most important to Todd was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Anna Willis. He was the proud father of Abigail Willis (Scotty Willis), Aaron Willis and Anna Grace Willis. He was a devoted grandfather of Mason Becker and Rylan Willis, whom he lovingly spoiled every chance he had.

Although Todd is no longer physically with us, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing and may we carry on his legacy in all that we do.

He is also survived by his father, Gene Willis (Velma Willis); father-in-law, Jack Cross; siblings, Tonya Hidalgo, Jordan Willis, Josh Willis.

Todd is preceded in death by his beloved mother and son, Brenda Cross and Aaron Willis. He longed to see them again.

A service honoring Todd’s life will be held on Saturday, August 30, at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Mooresville. The family will receive friends for visitation on August 29 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville from 6 to 8 p.m.

Todd’s legacy of love, faith, and laughter will live on in all who were blessed to know him.
