Nancy Davis Kerr, 96, of Mooresville, N.C.,, met her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Born on August 18, 1929, in Iredell County, N.C., she was the first-born daughter of the late Marvin Lee Davis and Mary Winters Davis of Triplett-Mazeppa community.

She attended Shepherd School and graduated from Mt. Ulla. Nancy was an exemplary wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Brown Kerr, who remained her lifelong sweetheart. They were honest, kind, God-fearing, hard-working examples of USA’s greatest generation. Nancy was beautiful, creative, a servant, and devoted to family. She became a dedicated mother, homemaker, church and community leader and gardener by the acre.

Those left to cherish Nancy’s memory are her children, Nancy Paulette Kerr of Mt. Ulla, and Dorlin Creig Kerr (Susan) of Mooresville; sister, Lynda Burns of Salisbury; brother, Charles Davis of Mt. Ulla; grandchildren, Clif Kerr (Yurany), Nancy Allison (Dean), and Katharine Haynie (Kevin); and great-grands, Violet Allison, Gemma Allison, Liam Kerr and Caroline Haynie. She is survived by hundreds of nephews, nieces and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Frankie Lovin (Henry), Barbara Warren (Millard), Mary Lee Parker (Maurice).

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Centenary Global Methodist Church in Mt. Ulla with Rev. Brad Treece officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at Centenary Church and again from 2 to 3 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Centenary Global Methodist Church, 620 Centenary Road, Mt. Ulla, NC 28125 or Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
