Pamela Graham Warren passed away on Wednesday April 30, 2025. She was the only child of Hugh Jackson Graham and Louise McBride Graham, born on July 25, 1941, in Winston-Salem, N.C.

When Pamela was six years old, the family moved to Kernersville, N.C. This quickly became home where she made lifelong friends, including her future husband. During her high school years, she trained to be a lifeguard at Brevard College, in order to work at the local pool and lake so she could spend her summers in the sun. She also worked at the local library, which seemed fitting since she spent most of her spare time — as a child and adult — reading.

Pamela graduated from Kernersville High School in 1959. After high school she attended The North Carolina Women’s College as a math major, graduating in 1963; the last graduating class before the college became the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

On August 3, 1963, Pamela married Bartlett Warren. The couple started married life as residents of Chapel Hill, N.C., while Bartlett attended dental school. During their time in Chapel Hill, Pamela worked as a secretary and attended every Carolina basketball game she could, fueling a lifelong passion. In 1967-1968, she lived at the Naval base in Cherry Point, N.C., and at the Great Lakes Naval Station outside of Chicago Ill. During those years, she worked as a financial bookkeeper and in her spare time began making her own clothes. In 1969, Pamela and her husband put down roots in Charlotte, N.C., where they bought their first home, started a dental practice and adopted their two children, a son in 1973 and a daughter in 1977. Early in her children’s lives, Pamela was a homemaker. Later, she became a substitute teacher with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system and worked as a bank teller for First Citizens Bank. She loved and adored her two Golden Retrievers, Luke and Jack. She also loved several cats over the years, Kringle being her last who became a treasured companion. In 1999 she retired with her husband and moved to their beloved home at Lake Norman. In previous years the family enjoyed countless weekends, holidays and summers at their lake home and made lasting memories together. She was always thankful to spend her “golden years” in such a special place.

The first 14 years of retirement were dedicated to the care of her husband, who suffered from dementia. She also spent her time reading books and cheering on those Carolina Tar Heels. “Go Heels!” she will forever shout from the heavens!

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, husband, aunts and an uncle. She is survived by her children, Graham (Nikki) Warren and Andrea Warren; and her grandchildren, Kate, Jack and Drew Warren, and Aiden Latta.
