Patricia Maguire Thompson Cabral Reynolds, 61, of Parksville, Ky., passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the Stanford Crossing Nursing Home in Stanford, Ky.

Patricia was born September 12, 1963, in Buffalo, N.Y., to the late Hugh Desmond and Sylvia Johnston Ross. She was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith, and she worked as a respite worker and caretaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, socializing at the church and supporting church causes. When music played, it wasn’t unusual to see her dance—whether in celebration, in the kitchen while cooking, or in the living room surrounded by her loved ones. Patricia’s heart belonged to her family. She treasured every moment with her children and grandchildren, filling their lives with laughter, stories, and unconditional love. She adored birds, butterflies, and flowers—seeing beauty in the small things and delighting in the wonders of nature.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death her husband, Troy D. Reynolds.

She will be forever cherished by her children, Nicholas Cabral (Bobbi) of Maryland, Richard Cabral of Massachusetts, Rebekah Haba (Randy) of California, and Victoria Cabral of Kentucky; grandchildren, Kara Cabral, Emma and Ella Haba, Luciano and Scarlett Cabral; sisters, Deborah Cole of Maine and Eileen Bush of New York; and brother, Brian Thompson of New York.

A graveside service to honor Patricia’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 18, at the Troutman Historical Cemetery. Though her song on this earth has ended, her melody will live on forever in the hearts of those who love her. Words from her favorite song “The Old Rugged Cross”: “I’ll cherish the old, rugged cross, till my trophies at last I lay down; I will cling to the old, rugged cross, and exchange it some day for a crown.”

Troutman Funeral Home is serving the family of Patricia Reynolds.
