Reda Faye Bailey Lester, 70, of Harmony, N.C. went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.

Reda was born on September 4, 1954, in McDowell County, W.Va., to the late Elmer Bailey and Hazel Walker Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Bailey, and a sister, Shirley Cline.

Reda was known for her strong work ethic and loving heart. For over 30 years, she managed several restaurants and delis, always taking pride in her work and treating others with kindness and respect. Later, she became part-owner of Auto Image Solutions in Statesville, where she found joy working alongside her family. Reda was a woman of Christian faith who loved going to the beach, spending time with her loved ones, and sharing her sweet, caring nature with everyone she met. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her gentle spirit, constant support, and unwavering love will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 48 years, Michael Keith Lester; three sons, Kevin Bailey (Stephanie Roark), Greg (Dana) Bailey, and Scott (Shawntae) Lester; sister, Brenda (John) Atwell; brother, Randy (Teresa) Bailey; grandchildren, Michelle Bailey, Jeremy Leonard, Hailey Brooks, Payton (Megan) Bailey, Jayden Bailey, Bryson Lester, and Alyssa Lester; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Nicholson Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Cuthbertson officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Iredell Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Stephanie Roark for her loving care shown to Reda.
