Rosie Lynn Wickliffe Finney, 74, of Hiddenite, N.C., passed away August 31, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House following an extended illness. Rosie was born in Fort Wayne, Ind., on October 2, 1952, to the late Alonzo Dale Wickliffe and Florence Irene Koeling Wickliffe.
Rosie loved Jesus, her children, and their children. She was a mom, grandma, director, Brownie and Girl Scout leader, and an after-school Bible school teacher. She would play guitar and sing. Her voice was so beautiful that it would carry with you. She liked crafts; she would make anything with her sewing machine. She would crotchet you a hat or sweater because she enjoyed it. She was kind and thoughtful to all her family and friends. She would brag about meeting her Lord and embracing the moment.
She will be greatly missed; her voice, kind actions, and blessings for the day, will not be forgotten.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Harold Finney; one son, Stanley Wisniewski; one brother, Albert Wickliffe; one sister, Betty Verheist; one sister, Sue Koehling and brother-in-law David Koehling; one great granddaughter, MaryJane Menscer; and son-in-law, Joseph Menscer.
Survivors include one son, William Wayne Wisniewski Jr.; four daughters, Michelle Louis Wisniewski, Heather Lorraine Carlson, Jennifer Marie Menscer, and Daphne Wright (Dan); one sister, Jean Keller (Ron); grandchildren, Alexander Wisniewski (Samantha), Jared Wisniewski (Antonia), Chad Wisniewski, Nathan Haskins (Katlyn), Brett Kingsly (Ashley), and Aaliya Stewart; and great-grandchildren, Raymond, Roman, Royce, Gia, Rosalena, Karter, Kole, Gracie, and Madelynn.
