Sandra Lee Godwin, 64, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, surrounded by family at the Gordon Hospice House following an extended illness. Sandra was born in Baltimore, Md., on April 22, 1961, to the late Gardner Godwin and Velma Carswell.

Sandra was a devoted mom to three children. She was the heart of our family, an incredible cook, and a creative soul with a passion for crafting and scrapbooking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, George Godwin.

Survivors include one son, Sammy Dean Lackey of Statesville; two daughters, Jacqueline Bowman and husband Michael of Taylorsville, and Samantha Anderson (Jarvis) of Statesville; and three grandchildren, Ashley Withers (Trae), Emily Bowman, and Javeah Bell.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Iredell County for all their love and support through this difficult time.
