Scott Raymond Wetherbee, 79, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Autumn Care of Cornelius.

He was born on May 18, 1946, in Bayonne, N.J., to the late Kate Belk Wetherbee and the late Robert Thomas Wetherbee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lesley Ralph Wetherbee; sister, Betsy; and sister Pamela.

Scott passed the Massachusetts Bar Exam in 1972 but decided a career in law was not for him. He pursued a successful career spanning 35 years in the trucking industry, working his way from dispatcher to terminal manager. During his life, Scott enjoyed golf, cooking, and dabbling in the stock market. Mostly, Scott enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Scott is survived by his sister, Leona Wetherbee of Mooresville; son, Thomas and his wife Shari of Berlin, N.J.; son, Jeffrey and his wife Annmarie of Mooresville; grandchildren, Benjamin, Grace, Jackson, and Luke; and girlfriend, Patti Courtney of Mooresville.

The family will hold a private celebration in the future.
