Sparkle Deon Sharpe, 46, was born in Iredell County, on August 23, 1978, to Franklin Antonio “Tony” Long and Mary Lois Sharpe. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe Henry and Delaney Holland; and paternal grandparents, Lonnie Smith and Frances Guyden.

Deon was a 1996 graduate of Statesville High School, and she previously worked for RHA. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with family and friends. Deon will truly be missed.

She leaves to cherish the memories of her life, in addition to her parents, Franklin “Tony” Long and Mary Lois Sharpe; two sisters, Evelyn Sharpe and Sophia Sharpe; one brother, Charles “NuNu” (Tiffanie) Sharpe; two nephews, Ricky Sharpe, and Charles “Tre” Sharpe; one niece, Ebony Sharpe (Tasha); two great nephews, Kylin Sharpe and Ashton Sharpe; three great nieces, Kaleeyah Sharpe, Keimya Sharpe, and Khiyah Sharpe; one god-daughter, Aaliyahh Odom; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
