Stephanie Kerr Baron, 72, passed away on December 5, 2025. She was born in Iredell County to the late Stephen and Anne Kerr.
Stephanie graduated from Mooresville High School and then junior college. Most of her professional life she was employed by Ingersoll-Rand, where she made many wonderful relationships and lifelong friends.
Stephanie’s group of high school girlfriends gathered annually and texted constantly to this day. They would update each other as well as retell the same stories with as much laughter as before. She loved these get togethers.
Stephanie was a passionate and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had two “happy places,” the beach and anywhere with her grandchildren. She was a tremendous source of love and support for them and her entire family. She also enjoyed gathering with family and friends. She always brought energy and joy to every social gathering. To many of her friends, she was so close that she became more of a sister or an aunt than simply a friend. She was rarely the center of attention but always a source of good humor and sage advice.
In addition to the beach, Stephanie enjoyed the lake, and dining out, especially with her family and friends. She was known to enjoy a good glass of wine on occasion surrounded by fun and laughter. She was always positive, loving, caring and very, very deeply loved.
Family members that are already deceased are her parents, Stephen and Anne ,and brother, Todd.
She is survived by her husband Gerald; her two children, Michael Meadows (Amber) and Lindsay Marco; and her beautiful grandchildren, Addison, Ryan, Harper, and Lucas; and her brother, Gary Kerr (Karen).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Foundation, 12221 Merit Drive, Suite 1950, Dallas, TX 75251.
Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and Crematory, Mooresville, is serving the Baron family. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.cavin-cook.com.
