Stephanie Paige Little, 42, a beloved daughter, sister, auntie, and friend, went to her heavenly home on December 6, 2025. She was born on December 15, 1982, in Catawba County, N.C.
Stephanie joined St. John Bapitst Church at an early age and was an active member. She later moved her membership to Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher, usher, and member of the leadership team. She was an avid Bible scholar. She loved God and never missed an opportunity to worship her Lord and Savior. Her favorite hymn was “God Is Real.”
Stephanie graduated from ACHS in 2001, UNCC in 2005 with a Bachelors in Nursing, and WCU in 2016 with a Masters in Nursing. She served her community as a Family Nurse Practitioner and touched countless people through her work, most recently at the Iredell County Health Department.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Howard and Lucy Little; her paternal grandfather, Dwight McCurdy; and her uncle, Rev. James Little.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Rosalind Linney and Marshall McCurdy, along with her loving step-father, Rickey Linney, who raised her with her mother. She is also survived by her brother, Kyle Linney; and her beloved niece, Dyemond Connor, who was the love of her life. In addition, Stephanie is survived by her grandmother, Betty McCurdy, and her special sister/friend, Tawanna (Rel) Covington. She was the godmother to three awesome young men, Brayden Rowe, Jamison Rowe, and Jeremiah Whitaker. She also had two other siblings, Cierra Dula and Zamir Howard. She also leaves behind her loving aunts, Althea (David) Horton of Lenoir, N.C.; Joann Griffin of Durham, N.C.; Paulette Little of Taylorsville, N.C.; Margie Little of Morganton, N.C.; and Cynthia McCurdy of Wilkesboro, N.C.; and her uncle, Ronnie “Bo” McCurdy of Taylorsville, N.C. She also has special great aunts, Mildred Ferguson, Jeanette Suddith, Margaret Rowe, Priscilla Rowe, Shirley Rowe, Faye Dula, and Mary Lois Flowers; and great-uncles, Rev. William Little and Rev. C. E. Rowe. Stephanie also leaves behind a host of special cousins — too many to list — and special friends, Courtney Baxter, Joleen Linney, Joyce Boston, Selissa Parson, Melissa Martin, and Danielle Robertson.
Stephanie was an amazing person, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She will live on in her protégé Dyemond, and in the laughter and memories she shared with us.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Homegoing Service to follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Elliot Boston, Eulogist, and Pastor Terrance Little-Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
