Stephen Andrew Sherrill, 62, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025. He was born on October 6, 1962, in Iredell County to the late Frank Andrew Sherril and Dorothy Moore Sherrill.
Stephen graduated in 1980 from South Iredell High School and in 1984 from Western Carolina University with a degree in nursing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Bobby Lee Sherrill.
Those left to cherish Stephen’s memory are his brother, Jeff Sherrill (Denise); nephews, Daniel Sherrill, Travis Sherrill, Robbie Sherrill (Nancy); niece, Amy Crisp (Mike); and many cousins and extended family.
The family will have a private service at a later date.

Sorry for your loss. I worked with Steve in the ER. He was always a nice guy.
He loved comedy, music, and was a great actor, too. We attended MCC together, shared our birthdays, and did lots of shows. “Bye bye Birdie” is one of my favorite memories. I will miss him. Love to his family.
