Susan Mary Faucher, 68, of Hendersonville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2025, in the comfort of her son’s home.

Susan was born March 1, 1957, in Detroit, Mich., the loving daughter of Bernard and Carol Roberts Faucher. She graduated from North Olmstead High School in North Olmstead, Ohio, in 1975. Later in life, she went on to become a proud volunteer firefighter at the Valley City Fire Department in Valley City, Ohio, as well as a paramedic for multiple agencies.

Susan was an exceptionally artistic person and loved creating many forms of art, from stained glass to drawing and painting. She loved horses and her dogs dearly. She loved taking long country road drives with her favorite music playing, and she loved creating beautiful gardens around her house. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly.

Remaining to cherish Susan’s memory are children, Katie (Kirk) Yuhnke of Castle Rock, Colo., Emily Roetzel of Los Angeles, Calif., and Matthew Roetzel of Statesville, N.C.; grandchildren, Graham Yuhnke, Emmaline Yuhnke, Eliza Yuhnke and Samantha Roetzel; and brothers, Scott (Cyndi) Faucher and Matthew Faucher; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Preceding Susan in death were her parents, Bernard and Carol Roberts Faucher.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Windemere Clubhouse and Marina on Lake Norman in Statesville, N.C., at 12:30 p.m. Service with the priest will begin at 1 p.m.
