Terry Lane Stone, 69, passed away on Friday August 1, 2025.

Terry was born in Lenoir, North Carolina on February 21,1956 to the late James Stone and Grace Wolfe Stone. He attended and graduated from North Iredell High School in 1974. Terry married the love of his life Nedda Rhyne Stone on June 11, 1988. They spent 37 happy years together.

Terry was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. He was the cornerstone of his family, known for his steady presence, kind heart, and unwavering love. His family meant everything to him, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his beloved grandson, Brantley—his pride and joy, and the light of his life.

Terry was a man of faith who loved the Lord. He attended Beulah Baptist church when his health allowed.

Terry worked at Rental Uniform for 28 years, he was Plant Manager for 10 of those years. He also was part owner of B&B Quickstop and worked as a delivery driver for Midstate Bolt and Screw.

He was an avid golfer who found great joy on the course and treasured the many golf trips he took over the year s. A lifelong fan of North Carolina Basketball, Terry’s passion for the Tar Heels was well known among friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nedda Stone; daughter, Teryn Teaster (Neil); grandson Brantley, whom he adored beyond measure ; brother, Greg Stone (Luanne); father-in-law, Ned Rhyne; brother-in-law Shane Rhyne; nephew, Chris Stone (Alarie); two special great nephews Peyton and Will Stone; and numerous other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1PM Friday August 8, 2025 at Beulah Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Burgess officiating with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 12 pm to 12:50pm . Active pallbearers will be Chris Stone, Don Childers, George Guy, Mike Douglas, Shane Rhyne and Mark Eller. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Harwell and Sonny Mayberry.
