William “Billy” Robert Mullis, 65, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025, at his home. He was born on October 4, 1959, in Mooresville to the late Robert Mullis and Shirley Ferrell Mullis.

Billy attended Mooresville High School. He was a Fire Systems Specialist with Diversified Fire Protection. He enjoyed shooting pool and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by a sister, Cathy Mullis; nephew, Billy Deaton; and sister-in-law, Luella Ketner.

He is survived by his wife, Karen S. Mullis; son, William “Bobby” Robert Mullis Jr.; brothers, Jerry Mullis and David Mullis (Brenda); and nieces and nephews, Katrina McCoy, Greg Parris, and Jake Deaton.

A Celebration of Billy’s Life will be on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. A graveside service will be on Monday, June 16, at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Memorial Park.
