Alice A. Brown, 101, passed on to her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at her home. She was born November 17, 1924, in Alexander County, N.C., the daughter of the late Charles F. Brown and Josephine Dyson Brown.

Alice was member of Liledoun Baptist Church, where she attended for 101 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Marie B. Gragg, Mabel B. Mingus, Ethel B. Tomlin, P.J. Brown, John Brown, LeeRoy Brown, and Charles “Cotton” Brown.

Alice is survived by many nieces, nephews, special friends and loving and caring neighbors.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tamara Taylor, her niece and caregiver, and all of the special angels in her life.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2026, at Liledoun Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jason Payne and Pastor Stephen Dagenhart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Liledoun Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church or Hospice of donor’s choice.

Pallbearers include Trevor Weldon, Tyler Gillieland, Caisyn Weldon, Scotty Payne, Josh Dagenhart, and Daniel Taylor. Honorary pallbearers include Wade Price, Rick Faulk, and Phil Chapman.
