
Bobbie Hall Cox, 80, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026. She was born on April 17, 1945 in Fayetteville, N.C., to the late Johnny Hall and Jewel T. Hall and grew up in Southern Pines, N.C. She attended Richmond Professional Institute (now VCU) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Retailing. She moved to Atlanta, Ga., after graduation and lived there for a short time before relocating to Greensboro, N.C. She also lived in Chattanooga, Tenn., for four years before moving and settling in Mooresville, N.C., where she resided for over 30 years. She had a long professional career in advertising sales, including the Greensboro News & Record, Mast YP and Consolidated Communications.
She was a fantastic cook and loved trying new recipes and dogs (especially basset hounds). She will be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dave Cox; her daughter Amy Cox Herring (Kevin); step-grandson Dylan McConnell; sister-in-law, Ann Cox of Nashville, Tenn.; niece Lesley Lawson (Jim); and nephew Michael Cox (Andrea); as well as other family members and friends.
