Mr. Brian Jacob Keisler, 45, of Mooresville, N.C., and formerly of Lexington, S.C., went to be with the Lord and Savior unexpectedly on the morning of March 7, 2026. He entered this life on December 15, 1980, to parents Alonzo Keisler Jr. and Margaret Jacobs Keisler.

Brian was raised in Lexington, S.C., in a loving family. He was educated in the Lexington County District One school system and graduated Lexington High School in 1999. At an early age, Brian started playing football for a recreation league and continued to play for junior varsity and varsity teams at Lexington High School.

After high school, he was employed by Brake Manufacture of West Columbia, S.C. He attended Charleston Southern University, a private Christian university in North Charleston that emphasized a Christian environment and values. He also attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro Tenn. He also had plans to continue his education at Mitchell Community College in Mooresville, N.C.

He enjoyed listening, writing and recording music.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alonzo Keisler Jr.; both grandmothers, Mildred Suber Keisler and Myrtle Lee Jacobs; both grandfathers, Alonzo Keisler Sr. and Willie Jacobs; and uncles, Marvin Jacobs, Reverend Amos Massey, Kerry Johnson, Tony T. Jacobs, and Richard “Dennis” Keisler.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Jacobs Keisler; his sister, Dr. Christel Nicole Keisler; his niece, Kendall Sanders; his aunts, Mildred Jacobs Massey, Marilyn Jacobs, Debra “Carlene” Keisler, Cynthia Jacobs Johnson, and Linda Jacobs; and his uncles, Willie Jacobs and Roy Jacobs, as well as a host of cousins, great aunts and other family and friends.

His family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and offers of support or even sharing or reflecting back on any memory you have of him. We would like to express heartfelt thanks to the first responders of Mooresville and Iredell County (EMTs, fire services, police).
