Cecilia Denise Winstead, 42, of North Oakland Avenue, Statesville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on April 9, 1983, and was the daughter of Louella Winstead. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Cecil Winstead.

CeCe enjoyed helping and encouraging other people and spending time with her family. She was a beautician and fixed a lot of people’s hair and also worked at one time at Future Generations Day Care as a teacher. She loved the colors orange and purple, which remind of us of the sunset and how beautiful the skies are when the sun goes down.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life her sons, Jaedon Amir Winstead (Ahalaya Imes) of Statesville and Tyler Winstead; a host of special friends, Nika Roseboro, Kishua Oglesby, Ashley Rhinehardt, Charles “Chuck” Ramseur, Kamryn Roseboro and Jalyn Ramseur; and a host of neighbors, other relatives and friends.
