Cody Constance Lyons Jr., 83, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away at home after an extended illness on February 11, 2026. He was born on October 30, 1942, in Marfrance, W.Va., to the late Cody Constance Lyons Sr. and his wife Goldie Blankenship Lyons.

Cody was of the Baptist faith, he served the United States Army during the Vietnam War and retired from Bartlett Milling.

Cody is survived by his wife Nancy Lou Proffitt Lyons of the home; his three sons, Billy Gene Lyons and wife Alma of Catawba, N.C., Lewis Leslie Lyons and wife Laurie of Statesville, N.C., and Lawrence Lee Lyons and wife Wendy of Myrtle Beach, SC; his two daughters Rose Marie Harris of Cleveland, N.C., and Melissa Ann Loggins and husband Steve of Tennessee; his brother Billy Lyons of Statesville, N.C.; his fourteen loving grandchildren; his twenty-five loving great-grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at Chapman Funeral Home’s Chapel on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 12 noon. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery.
