Deborah Clark Remmel, fondly known as Debbie, graced the world with her spirit and nurturing heart on August 11 1937, in the picturesque city of Denver, Colo., until her departure on February 18, 2026, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville, N.C. She leaves behind a legacy woven with love, laughter, and an unyielding devotion to her family that will resonate through the lives she touched.
In her role as a stay-at-home mom, Debbie carved out a haven of warmth and creativity, dedicating herself to crafting an extraordinary environment for her family to flourish. With an outgoing personality that could light up any room, she was the embodiment of joy and kindness, effortlessly bringing friends and loved ones together. Her heart beat strongest when surrounded by her cherished family, each moment with them a testament to her unwavering love.
Debbie was a woman of many passions with hobbies that mirrored her vibrant zest for life. She danced gracefully through each chapter of her journey, played the piano with a skill that echoed her emotional depth, and reveled in the thrill of skiing and swimming. Dancing amongst the melodies of classical music, she found peace and joy. Her hands were never still, engaging in knitting and needlework, while her mind delighted in playing games and working puzzles, each piece a reflection of her intricate yet lovely spirit. Her culinary creations tantalized taste buds, each meal crafted with love serving as a reminder of her nurturing nature.
Though Deborah faced a period of declining health leading up to her passing, her love for life remained indomitable. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 66 years, Wayne Remmel, whose partnership was a shining example of enduring affection. Their bond was forged through laughter and challenges alike, illuminating the beauty of a lifelong journey shared.
Debbie’s heart expanded through her three daughters, Penny Williams (Jon Schmitz) of Algonquin, Ill., Kandace Gore of Palatine, Ill., and Heidi Harbor (Jerry Alderman) of Essex, Conn., each of whom carry forward her legacy of love and compassion. Additionally, her son, Scott Remmel (Johanna) of Mooresville, NC, continues to honor her spirit, bringing to life the values she instilled in each of her children. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, Nick, Jackie, Alex, Austin, Taylor, Steven, Vanessa, Andrew, Nicholas and Sophia; and four great-grandchildren, Cooper, Hunter, Olivia and June, with two more on the way.
She now joins her dear parents, Alva Adams Clark and Hortense Ross Clark, who welcomed her into eternal peace.

Deborah Clark Remmel leaves this world, but her spirit will remain intertwined with the laughter of her family, the music she cherished, and the countless memories of love that echo through the hearts of those who knew her.
