She is survived by her loving husband, James Barter; her children, Joshua Barter and his wife Jackie, Kerri, Heather, Jeffrey, Kelly, and James Barter Jr.; her 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; as well as her sister, Cathy, and her brother, Michael.
Diana was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, at RiverLife Fellowship Church in Mooresville. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Salisbury.
As declared in Revelation 21:3–4 (ESV), God’s dwelling place is with humanity, bringing a new heaven and earth where He will live among them, and they will be His people. In this promise, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
Arrangements for Diana are in the care of Troutman Funeral Home.
