Dmitric Shawntell Mayberry, 49, son of Donna Lynn Neal and the late Freddie Mayberry, was born in Iredell County, N.C., of January 1, 1977. He departed this life on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

He was educated in the Iredell Couty Schools and attended Statesville High School. He attended St. Peter World Outreach Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. He was man of many gifts and talents, and he was well loved by all who met and knew him. He was a self-employed tradesman, and he loved carpentry and painting. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elnora Mayberry, and his grandfather, Ernest Summers.

In addition to his mother, Donna Lynn Neal of Harrisburg, Pa., he leaves to cherish the memory of his life three daughters, Janika Clement, Arianna Mayberry and Jewell Mayberry, all of Statesville; a brother, Freddie Grooms of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Taneka Mayberry and Devonna Grooms, both of Winston-Salem; a host of nieces, nephews, including a special nephew, Jayce Johnson, cousins, other relatives and friends, including very special friends, Kia Pierce and Jamaica Parks, both Statesville.

A service to celebrate the life of Dmitric will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel, Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Ellerbe will officiate. Members of the family will receive friends on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Members of the family will assemble at the funeral home on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
