Elizabeth “Liz” Margaret Lennon, 76, of Mooresville, N.C., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 29, 2026. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 18, 1949 in Manhattan, N.Y., daughter of the late George and Viola Raw.

Liz lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. A devoted Christian, her strong faith was front and center in all she did, guiding her actions and shaping the way she cared for others. While she raised her family, she was deeply involved in her church community, where she joyfully sang in the choir and found great purpose and fellowship.

Liz cherished her family above all else-always putting them first, sharing laughter, and creating a warm, loving home. As a mother, she gave generously of her time — volunteering in the school library, proudly supporting her children as a dedicated soccer, wrestling, and swim team mom, and making every holiday feel special. As her children grew, she remained a constant source of encouragement, supporting their interests, careers, and families. A devoted grandmother, she delighted in baking with her grandchildren, cheering them on at soccer and volleyball games, and making each birthday a joyful celebration. She expressed her love through cooking meals for her husband and family, taking care of her cats and corgis, crocheting and ceramics. Alongside her husband, Liz embraced adventure as an avid traveler, with journeys across Europe, the Caribbean, Hawaii and the American Southwest.

Liz will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her joyful spirit, and the deep love she shared with her family and all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert Thomas Lennon Sr.; son Robert Thomas Lennon Jr. and his wife Laurie Lennon; daughter Jennifer Lennon Higgins and her husband Kyle Higgins; son Adam Lennon and his wife Kristin Lennon; grandchildren, Jack, Grace, Levi and Max Lennon; brother Harold Raw and his wife Elaine Raw; her brother John Raw; and her nieces Ana Raw, Kimberly Mikatarian and Kathryn Depew
