Ellis London Cauble, 94, died peacefully at home on Thursday, February 5, 2026. She was born on December 14, 1931, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Elmer and Carrie London.

Ellis was a 1950 graduate of Mount Ulla High School. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Salisbury for 75 years. She worked for Rowan County School Food Services.

In addition to her parents, Ellis was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Harold Cauble.

Ellis is survived by her children, Karen Fleming (Junie) of Woodleaf, Linda Haigler (Phil) of Mt. Ulla, and Ronnie Cauble (Cecelia) of Winston-Salem. Grandchildren include Chris Haigler (Kristin), Jon Cauble (Anna Matthews), Carrie Smith (James), Jeremy Cauble (Linnea) and Julie Reavis (Brad); and great grandchildren include Lily, Brooklyn, Kelsey, Alex, Miles, Lachlan, Svea and Isla.

Most important to Ellis was her family, and she will forever be remembered as a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She leaves a legacy of love and will remain as their guardian angel until they are reunited.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 9, from 1 to 2 p.m. with a service following at 2 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Salisbury, with Pastor Mark Ryman officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to her devoted caregivers and hospice personnel who served her.
