Elmer “Boady” Cheyenne Kiser, 65, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Boady was born August 15, 1960, in Tazwell County, Va., to the late Buford and Virginia Ritchie Kiser. He attended Mitchell Community College and worked for Classic Leather Inc.

In addition to his parents, Boady was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Freeland Kiser, along with four brothers and two sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Vickie Edwards (Ross) and Watsann Carver; his son, Daniel “Shane” Kiser (Anna); five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister, Connie Adams (Billy); special nieces, Haylee, Kaylee and Destiny Freeland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 12, in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with the Bunton Family officiating. Burial will follow in the Triplett United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 1 until 2 p.m.
