
Floyd Marshall Sneed, 89, of Mt. Ulla, N.C., passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026. Born in Yadkin County, N.C., Floyd lived a life shaped by faith, family, and dedication to his craft. He learned upholstery in High Point, N.C., where he spent many years mastering the trade before becoming a self‑employed upholsterer. His skill, patience, and pride in his work were evident in every piece he completed.
Floyd loved the Lord and carried his faith with him throughout his life. He cherished his family deeply and found joy in simple, meaningful moments — watching westerns, listening to gospel music, and spending time with those he loved.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Jane C. Sneed; his daughter, Shelia Everhart; his son, Randy Sneed; and his stepchildren, Karen Naile and Jeff Hendrix. He is also lovingly remembered by ten grandchildren, eighteen great‑grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him great pride and happiness.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Sneed.
A visitation will be held at Ebenezer Church, 8425 NC-801 Mt. Ulla, NC 28125 on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 2 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m.
Floyd will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his devotion to his family, and the steady kindness he offered to everyone around him. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
