Greek Summerville, 83, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 3, 1943, in Logan, W.Va., to the late Mary Criner.

Mr. Summerville was a retired diesel and coal mechanic for Island Creek Coal Co. in West Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Maynard Summerville; and sister, Dolly Marcum.

He is survived by his children, Curtis Summerville (Renee), Cheryl Aldridge, Michelle Stilwell, Mark Summerville, and Tammy Delaney (Jeffrey); nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Services will be held and announced by the family at a later date.
