Mr. Jack Donald Lunsford, 90, of Union Grove, N.C., passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Wilkes Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Lewis Baptist Church with Pastor Bruce Rhoades, Rev. Allen Lunsford and Rev. Carl Ray Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Lewis Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.

Jack was born on March 3, 1935, in Iredell County to Ray Lee and Nell Cass Lunsford. He was a devoted member of Lewis Baptist Church, where he served as church pianist for over forty years. Jack was also the pianist for Gospel Voices Ministries for eighteen years. Making music was his lifelong passion. Jack was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Combs Lunsford, and sisters, Audrey Jordan, Geraldine Prevette, Betty Lou Gregory and Rose Prevette.

He is survived by daughter, Sherry Lunsford Caudill (David) of Statesville; son, Dwayne Lunsford (Donna) of Union Grove; grandchildren, Molly Caudill of Statesville, Joshua Lunsford of Union Grove, Hannah Lunsford of Union Grove, and Caleb Lunsford of Union Grove; and brothers, Allen Lunsford (Rose) of Union Grove and Claybourne Lunsford (Jean) of Union Grove.
