Mrs. Jeanette Morrison Millsaps, 94, daughter of the late Charlie A. Morrison and Mable Griffin Morrison, was born in Iredell County on September 8, 1931. She departed this life on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

She attended Happy Plains High School in Alexander County and was a member of Logan Presbyterian Church. While a member at Logan, Jeanette was a member of the Presbyterian Women Ministry, Progressive Women Ministry, Social Group #1, Director and Senior Choir member, Board of Deacons and Sunday School Class #1. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a frame assembler. Her family and friends remember her most for always loving to sing.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, John Morrison, James Morrison, Curlee Morrison, Catherine Sherill, Annie Parker, Louise Moton, Lillian Flowers, Odessa Knight and Elizabeth Adkins.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life a son, Allen (Darlene) Millsaps of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters, Martha Caldwell of Statesville and Mary (Oscar) Patterson of Cleveland; grandchildren, Maria Caldwell, James (Mary) Caldwell, Jeanetta Caldwell and Terry Millsaps, all of Statesville; Sean Bailey of Detroit, Mich., and Deshawn Saddler of Omaha, Neb.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life services will be conducted on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Logan Presbyterian Church, Statesville. Reverend Olen Bruner will officiate and Reverend Kenneth Griffin will eulogize. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Members of the family will receive friends on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the church but will assemble at the residence, 322 Cannon Road, Statesville, at other times.
