Jeffry “Jeff” Lynn Nussman of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

He was born on May 19, 1956, in Mecklenburg County, N.C., to the late Jesse and Mary McPhail Nussman. Jeff was an avid hockey player in his youth and never lost interest in sports. He spent his spare time coaching his sons and others in baseball and football for many seasons.

Jeff will be most remembered as Pawpaw, Papa Roach, The “Favorite Father in law”, and Coach.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Mills.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 38 years, Robin Hagler Nussman; sons, Josh (Kristen) and Jake (Ashley) Nussman; grandchildren, Joleigh, Van, Devon and Oakleigh; siblings, Jim (Pam) Reddick, Wayne (Karen) Nussman, and Wayne (Cynthia) Mills; nieces and many loving canine companions, Brewtus, Lady, Eevie, Rudy and Toby.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, from 6 to 7 p.m. with a small service directly after at 7 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
