Jewell Eloise Hodges Jordan, 84, of Statesville, N.C., passed away at home after an extended illness on April 5, 2026. Jewell was born on July 7, 1941, in Watauga County, N.C., to the late Clarence William Hodges and Ella Mae Hodges. Jewell was a member of the Association of Happiness For All Mankind.

In addition to her parents, Jewell is preceded in death by her two brothers, Edwin Coy Green and Roy Charles Hodges, and her sister, Lucy Geneva McCormick.

Jewell is survived by her lifetime partner of 37 years, John Mooe; her two brothers, Larry Hodges and wife Betty Ann of Taylorsville, and Clarence William Hodges Jr. of Harmony; and her grandniece, Stephanie Spera.
