On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Joseph William Devlin, loving son, father, brother, and friend, passed away at the age of 49.

Joe was born in Philadelphia, Pa., to Ray and Mary Jane Devlin on May 30, 1976. As a kid he spent time playing sports, mostly football.

Joe then moved to Tampa in 2002, where he met Angie, his wife of 20 years and continued to pursue his career in sales in the mailing industry. Shortly after, Joe became a father to two kids, which became the highlight of his life. His conversations centered around sports or his children.

In 2019 Joe moved to Mooresville, where he resided until his passing. He really felt like and made it his home here. He loved the cooler weather and the changing of seasons.

Joe had that infectious personality where everyone wanted to be near him. He was very funny and would do anything for you. Joe was very close to his children, always taking them to their sporting events, and practices. Joe will be missed immensely.

Joe is survived by his wife Angie Devlin, daughter Lauren Devlin and son Matthew Devlin; his father and stepmother, Ray and Vicki Devlin; his mother Mary Jane Rittenhouse; his sisters, Aileen Devlin and Rae Whichard; his brother Mickey Devlin; nieces Kate and Grace Beardslee, Carly Wegner, Charli Whichard, Rachelle Dickenson, and Ellie Devlin; nephews Tim Whichard and Tyler Wegner; and numerous aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville.
