Juanita Kaye Benge passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Autumn Care of Statesville, N.C. She was preceded in death by her father, George Wesley Haire, and mother, Nola Mae Horton Haire. She was also preceded by four half brothers and sisters.

Kaye was born in Iredell County on October 31, 1944. She graduated from Cool Springs School in 1962 and attended Mitchell College, where she studied Business Administration. She was employed by Iredell Memorial Hospital in the Insurance Department for 47 years, where she was a supervisor for a number of years.

On May 7, 1977, she married Charles Wayne Benge, who preceded her in death on October 15, 2022.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Abilene Church of Christ beginning at 2 p.m.
