Larry Romas Sprinkle, 80, of Statesville, N.C., passed away at home after an extended illness on April 2, 2026. Larry was born on November 9, 1945, in Iredell County to the late Romulus Roe Sprinkle and wife Inez Sprinkle.

He was a member of the Bright Light Baptist Church and worked in asphalt construction. He enjoyed mowing his yard and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Wesley Sprinkle.

Larry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Deborah Reaves Sprinkle of the home; his son Jason Sprinkle and wife Genia of Statesville; his two brothers, David Sprinkle and wife Donna of Statesville and J.D. Sprinkle and wife Ellen of Olin; four sisters-in-law, Alberta Reaves, Sue Martin, Missy Cotton, and Joan Sprinkle; his two grandchildren, Brooklyn McCann and husband Kyle, and Matthew Sprinkle and fiancée Gracie Elliot; and his great-grandchild, Rhett McCann.

Funeral services will be conducted at Bright Light Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 2 p.m. with burial following in the church cemetery. Pastor Jayson Fox and Reverend Bobby Eades will be officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m.
