Laura Jane Lambert Davidson, 87, of North Carolina passed away on March 11, 2026. Born August 7, 1938, in Iredell County, N.C., Laura was the daughter of the late Casey Eugene Lambert and the late Lorene Gillespie Lambert.

In her early years, Laura was a star basketball player at Statesville Senior High School. She worked for CommScope, where she manufactured hardware for wired and wireless communications networks.

Laura was married to her beloved husband, the late James Augustus “Gus” Davidson, until his passing in 2013. She is survived by her son, James “Jim” Davidson; her daughters, Tina Davidson, Patty Camery (Jay), Janie O’Conner (Pat), and Barbara Davidson; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Laura was preceded in death by Casey Eugene Lambert and Lorene Gillespie Lambert.

Laura was always cooking and enjoyed spending time with her family, including playing sports with her children. She loved to play board games, cards, jigsaw puzzles, and seek and find puzzles. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening, was an avid reader, and liked visiting the local library.

Laura was a member of Western Avenue Baptist Church.
