Linda Lou Queen, 78, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the Gordon Hospice House. She was born December 14, 1947, in Iredell County, the daughter of the late Henry Combs and Lily Mae Taylor Combs.

Linda worked for Classic Leather in Hickory for most of her working career and was a very faithful member of Unity Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and reading her Bible. She enjoyed eating at Bojangles for breakfast with her husband and special friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Queen; and her brothers, Marshal Combs and Glenn Combs.

Those left to cherish and honor Linda’s memories include her brothers, Gene Combs (Kathy) of Harmony and Cecil Combs (Joyce) of Newport, N.C.; special nephew, Hoyt “Peanut” Bruce; special cousin, Terry Church (fiancée, Pam Brewer); and many other family members and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Unity Baptist Church, 650 Mock Mill Road, Statesville, N.C. Pastor James Keever will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.

Pallbearers include Tommy Moore, Zack Church, Weston Church, Mason Hollifield, Jeff James, and Bobby Moose.
