Marilynne Bellengi, 92, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026. Born on June 30, 1933, she was a longtime resident of Harwich, Mass., before relocating to North Carolina.

Marilynne began her career working as a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where she contributed her skills to support an important cause. She later worked as an executive secretary at McLean Hospital in Boston, where she was known for her professionalism and dedication.

She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially spending time on the beaches of Cape Cod. Marilynne also had a love for travel and adventure. Alongside her beloved husband, Ron, she explored much of Europe, creating cherished memories together. Among her favorite destinations were Saint Martin and Portugal.

Marilynne leaves behind her devoted husband of 68 years, Ronald Joseph Bellengi.

She is remembered by her daughters, Linda Bellengi and her wife Libby of Asheville, N.C.; Carolyn Davis and her husband Jay of Mooresville, N.C.; and Donna Krauss and her husband Paul of Kingston, N.H.

She was a proud grandmother to Jeffrey Kass and his fiancée Taylor of Charlotte, N.C.; Lindsey Kass Green and her wife Jennifer of Asheville, N.C.; and Jayden and Landon Davis of Mooresville, N.C.

Marilynne also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren, Aspen and Piper Kass Green of Asheville, N.C.

Marilynne will be remembered for her love of family, and her adventurous spirit. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the family she adored.

Services will be private.
