Patricia “Tinnie” Ann Josey, 77, passed away on February 1, 2026. She was born on December 7, 1948, to David Sidney Josey and Nellie Mae Westmoreland Josey.

Patricia dedicated many years of her working life to the food service industry, where she served in school cafeterias and was known for her reliability and quiet dedication to the students and staff she supported. She loved her work in the cafeterias at Statesville Senior High School and at N.B. Mills Elementary School.

She is survived by her sister, Vickie Josey Rufty, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Ray Josey, Richard Josey, Mary Nell Thompson, Harold Josey, Brenda Walker, and Don Josey.

Patricia will be remembered for her strong work ethic and her love of baking, her straightforward nature, and the love she shared with her family. Quiet by nature, she loved to joke. She loved shopping–especially on QVC. Patricia was always cheerful – -especially when she was surrounded by her nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Iredell Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2026, with Pastor Bill Troutman officiating.
