It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bobby) Emery, who departed this life on January 8, 2026, at the age of 63 due to Parkinson’s.

A lifelong resident of Statesville, N.C., and a 1981 graduate of North Iredell High School, Bobby spent his career in manufacturing and construction. He was known for his free spirit and love for the outdoors, finding great joy in fishing, camping, and riding his motorcycle with friends. In 2024, Bobby found deep comfort in his faith, accepting Jesus and being baptized at Stony Point Global Methodist Church, where he became a member of the congregation.

He is survived by his sister, Sandy Saunders; his nephews Justin (Lindsey) Somers and Jamie (Rochelle) Somers; great-nieces Julia and Kerry Somers; great-nephew Preston Somers; his dear friend Stan (Carol) Holt; and many cousins and friends who will remember him fondly.
