Robert Lewis Caramenico, 88, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on January 22, 2026, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N,C. Born on February 8, 1937, in Pottstown, Pa., Robert was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He lived a life defined by dedication, love, and service.

As a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Robert served his country with honor. Following his military service, he found a fulfilling career as an Air Traffic Controller, guiding countless flights and ensuring the safety of many. His commitment to his work and community was a testament to his character and values.

Robert attended St. Therese Catholic Church in Mooresville. In his leisure time, he found joy on the golf course, where he was a passionate golfer, frequently playing at Lakewood Golf Club and Mallard Head Golf Club.

Beyond his professional achievements, Robert cherished his family deeply. He was preceded in death by  his daughter Mary, granddaughter Brittany, great-granddaughter Bria, brothers Bud and Dennis Caramenico, and sister Phyllis. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Jill States Caramenico, daughter Alysa Harmon (Greg) of Princeton, W,Va., and stepson Jay Repass.

While there will be no immediate services, Robert will be honored and interred at Arlington National Cemetery in a ceremony that will reflect the love and reverence his family holds for him. We invite friends and family to remember his life and share their condolences online at www.cavin-cook.com.
