With deepest sorrow and immeasurable love, we announce the passing of our precious daughter, Robyn Star Simpson, who was born far too soon on February 28, 2026. Robyn was expected to make her grand entrance into the world on August 22, 2026, but she arrived early, already wrapped in the hopes, dreams, and boundless love of her family.

Robyn was born at home, a deeply intimate and love-filled beginning to a life that, though brief, left an everlasting imprint on every heart she touched. After her arrival, she was later taken to Woman’s and Children’s Hospital in Greensboro, N.C., where she unexpectedly passed. While her time here on earth was short, the love surrounding her was vast, fierce, and eternal.

From the moment her parents learned of her existence, Robyn Star was already a bright light in their lives. Her mother, Yasmine Roseboro, and her father, Martevis Simpson, dreamed endlessly about the beautiful life ahead of their baby girl. They imagined cheering her on from the sidelines as she played tennis, watching her twirl gracefully in dance recitals, and witnessing her strength and determination in wrestling and boxing. She was already destined to be strong, radiant, and unstoppable — a little girl with a warrior’s heart and a star’s brilliance, just as her name promised.

Robyn Star was deeply loved not only by her parents but by a large and devoted family who had already claimed their place in her life. She leaves behind her great-grandmother, Wanda Imes, and great-grandfather, Robert Imes, who cherished the thought of meeting their beautiful descendant. She is lovingly remembered by her grandmothers, Tanya Roseboro and Lula Simpson, and her grandfathers, Patrick Johnson and Leonard Holland, all of whom held dreams of spoiling her, guiding her, and watching her grow.

Her aunts, Mary Johnson, Breanna Norman, and Malaysia Simpson, were ready to surround her with laughter, lessons, and unconditional love. She is also remembered by her great-aunts, Jamie Roseboro, Monique Maddox, and Quanna Harris, who already held a special place in their hearts for her.

Her uncles, Brelen Johnson, Caimeron Nichols, Mondre Simpson, Swailon Tucker, and Kaleb Simpson, looked forward to protecting her, encouraging her, and reminding her of her strength and worth every step of the way. She is also cherished by her great-uncles, David Maddox, Kortney Maddox, and Teric Maddox, who were ready to watch her shine and grow.

Though Robyn Star never had the chance to run into her parents’ arms, to speak her first words, or to take her first steps, she was profoundly wanted. She was prayed for. She was celebrated. She was loved long before she arrived, and she will be loved for all eternity.

In her tiny life, Robyn taught her family the depth of their capacity to love. She showed them how powerful hope can be and how fragile and sacred life truly is. Her name will forever be spoken. Her memory will forever be honored. Her spirit will forever shine.

Robyn Star Simpson will always be her parents’ beautiful daughter, her family’s shining light, and heaven’s brightest star.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Robyn Star.
