Sandra Thompson Davis, 63, of Troutman, N.C., and formerly of Mooresville, N.C., peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 16, 2026, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 30, 1962, in Statesville, N.C., daughter of the late JC Thompson and Eula Mae Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ricky Lynn Thompson.
Caring by nature, Sandra loved helping others. She especially loved caring for elderly friends and family. She loved going to the beach and spent most of her time there looking for shark’s teeth and scratching lottery tickets. She loved spending time with her grandkids and the family traditions that had been created along the way. Sandra enjoyed being outside no matter what she was doing and didn’t like sitting idle for long at all. Those that knew her knew they could count on her to help them in any way.
She is survived by her aunt, Edith Martin of Troutman, N.C.; sister, Tammy Fleming of Statesville, N.C.; son, Chris Davis and wife Laura of Nebo, N.C.; daughter, Tiffany Davis of Statesville, N.C.; grandchildren, Ally Davis, Garrett Davis, Aalaysiah Davis, and Aaliyah Johnson; nephew, Lee Beaver; and nieces, Brittany Beaver and Bridgett Beaver.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a Celebration of Life following at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the hospice nurses, physicians and staff, her beloved friends for their unwavering compassionate and supportive care. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
In addition to flowers, memorial donations may be made to the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House, 1325 Mecklenburg Hwy., Mooresville, NC 28115.
Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, Mooresville, is serving the Davis family. Condolences may be made to the family at www.cavin-cook.com.
