Sidney Earl Pestlin, 73, of Statesville, N.C., passed away at Autumn Care of Statesville after an extended illness on February 12, 2026. He was born on May 4, 1952, in Elizabethton, Tenn., to the late Frank Pestlin and his wife Carrie.

Sid enjoyed working on his Chevrolet truck. He worked as mechanic in the automotive industry.

Sid is survived by his son, Sidney Pestlin, and his wife Melissa of Cleveland, Tenn.; his two brothers, James Pestlin of Statesville, and Richard Pestlin and wife Jeanette of Statesville; his two sisters, Donna Dagenhart and Debbie Myers; his three grandchildren, Justin Pestlin, Nathan Pestlin and Raven Lanier and husband Jacob; and his great-grandchild, Riley Lanier.
