Thomas Winn Cochran, 73, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. He was the husband of Sandra L. “Sande” Shotwell Cochran and the son of the late Earle Mehaffey and Annie Louise Robertson Cochrane.

He was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School in Greenville, S.C., and attended Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, N.C. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a long-time member of the Shriner’s Club. He was self-employed and worked in sales in the manufacturing sector.

Tom loved traveling, deep-sea fishing, and all types of sports. He and Sande were married for 47 years and enjoyed many adventures together. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, Sande, Tom is survived by his furry companion, Piglet; brother, Bob; and sisters, Jean and Annette.

No services are planned at this time per Tom’s wishes.
