Timothy Steven Wade, affectionately known as Uncle Timmy to his family and Tim to others, passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 62.
Tim was born on March 4, 1963, in Charlotte, N.C., to Charles Eugene Wade and Mary Ellen Honeycutt Wade, both of whom preceded him in death. He later made his home in Mooresville, N.C., where he spent much of his life.
Tim attended Mooresville Senior High School and graduated with the Class of 1981. He went on to work as a truck driver, a career well-suited to his steady work ethic.
In his younger years, Tim played baseball and carried his love of sports throughout his life. He enjoyed racing and was often found watching sports. He was known for being funny, quiet, and generous, and those closest to him will always remember his spot-on Donald Duck impersonation — a childhood favorite that brought endless laughter and fond memories to his family.
Tim is survived by his siblings, older sister Bridget Wade and older brother Charles Jeffrey Wade. He did not have children of his own, but he was a proud uncle and is lovingly remembered by his nieces, Christen McCloud and Kira Edmond, and his nephews, Taylor Wade and Bryce Wade.
A private family gathering will be held to place his ashes.
The family finds peace in knowing that Tim is with the Lord in Heaven, made new, whole, and free from pain. He will be remembered for his gentle presence, his humor, and the quiet generosity he showed to those around him. He will be deeply missed.
Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, Mooresville, is serving the Wade family. Condolences may be made to the family at www.cavin-cook.com.
