Wayne Delbert Campbell, 67, of Statesville, N.C., passed away at the Gordon Hospice House after a brief illness on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Wayne was born on March 27, 1958, in Statesville to the late Gilbert Campbell and Sylvleen Elliott Campbell Hawkins. Wayne proudly served in the Navy, aboard the USS Eisenhower.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his nephew, Joshua Waugh.

Wayne is survived by his sisters, Linda Waugh and husband Greg of Statesville, and Becky Tayse and husband Jay; his two nephews; his two great nephews; and his two great nieces; along with his friend Donna Smith.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of the Gordon Hospice House of Statesville.
